General
General - all four licensing objectives.. There will be sufficient competent staff on duty at the premises for the purpose of fulfilling the terms and conditions of the licence and for preventing crime and disorder. Risk assessments and policies are in place to ensure public safety whilst using the centre. All staff will receive training in Health and safety to include Fire regulations, evacuation procedure, First Aid, AED training and Food hygiene and any other training that maybe required.. All staff will undertake training in their responsibilities in relation to the sale of alcohol, particularly regarding drunkenness and challenge 25.. All U16?s using the centre will be accompanied by a parent / guardian / teacher and coaches during playing sessions.. All staff will hold an Enhanced DBS / DBS certificate and will be trained in safeguarding so that they can recognise any red flags, ensuring they know the law and reporting procedures.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
Prevention of Crime & Disorder.. There will be a zero tolerance on any form of crime and disorder at the centre.. All members will be required to read and submit an electronic Code of Conduct. All members have the personal responsibility to ensure their behaviour does not fall below the required standards.. Any incidents of a criminal nature that may occur on the premises will be reported to the Police.. A CCTV / Security system will be in operation at the premises and if any crime and disorder is captured on the system this will be provided to the Police / authorities.
Public Safety
Public Safety. Appropriate fire safety procedures are in place including fire extinguishers, fire blanket, internally illuminated fire exit signs, numerous smoke detectors and emergency lighting (see enclosed plan for details of locations).. All appliances are inspected annually.. All emergency exits will always be kept free from obstruction.. A thorough risk assessment, evacuation policy and checklists are in place to ensure the safety of those members that visit and use the centre.. First aid kits can be accessed within the centre and all staff are first aid trained to include defibrillator trained.. An AED can be accessed 24/7 and is located opposite the building. Some members are already first aid trained and trained in the use of an AED due to their occupation.
The prevention of public nuisance
Prevention of Public Nuisance. All members and guests will be asked to leave quietly.. A clear notice shall be displayed at the exit to instruct customers to respect the needs of local neighbours and leave the premises and the area quietly.. It is envisaged that minimal disruption will occur due to this being a sporting facility and the main purpose of the premises is to play Pickleball and Padel and to promote social, health and wellbeing.. The premises is located in an industrial estate and is not within a residential area.
The protection of children from harm
Protection of Children from Harm. The licence holder will keep a register of refused sales of all age- restricted products (Refusals Book).. The premises shall operate a Challenge 25 age restricted sales policy. All staff shall be trained in its implementation. Only photographic ID such as a British driving licence or a passport shall be treated as acceptable forms of identification.. A refusals record shall be kept at the premises to record details of all refusals to sell alcohol. This record shall contain the date and time of the incident, a description of the customer, the name of the staff member who refused the sale, and the reason the sale was refused. The record shall be made available to police and authorised Licensing officers.. All staff will be required to complete children safeguarding, training in contents of the premises licence and operating schedule and the process involved in challenge 25 and age verification
